Dance: Technical Skills
- Learners will develop their technical dance skills in Jazz and Contemporary dance.
- They will apply these skills in two teacher lead technical dance solos.
Dance: Choreography
- Learners will apply their knowledge and understanding of a range of choreographic devices and structures within the creative process to create a group choreography.
- They will create a choreography with a chosen theme and discuss this in a choreographic review essay.
Written Exam
The pupils will visit a classroom once a week to develop their knowledge and understanding of the principles of dance. These include dance appreciation in context and study of professional choreography. The final paper last two hours and is worth 40 marks.
